Routes in 2013
Because of road closures due to bushfire activity in the Alpine National Park, the 2013 Alpine Classic routes have been altered and all riders in the Alpine Classic will be using Mt Buffalo only. Depending on the distance to be ridden, multiple ascents of Mt Buffalo may be required according to the table below.
Riders may choose to change to any distance (other than the ACE 250). You do not need to advise us of your intention to change distance as all rides are travelling the same route and electronic timing is in place. If you are not already entered into the ACE 250 you may not upgrade now.

- Mackies Corner "Waterland"
- Cresta (ACE riders only)
- Eurobin Falls (afternoon only)
Refunds not available
As the one-day events have been re-routed and are not cancelled, refunds and transfers are not being offered. The ride committee is considering ways to offset the inconvenience caused to riders by the bushfires. An announcement will be made as soon as practical. The priority now is to provide a unique and memorable event for riders and their familiies this weekend. The ride committee appreciates your understanding in the difficult circumstances.
Why Buffalo only?
After consultation with the emergency authorities Mt Buffalo remains the only approved and safe route. We understand that Falls Creek may be under fire threat, so rides will not be going over Tawonga Gap to Mt Beauty because that road will be required for the use of fire and emergency vehicles.
